A Technology Audit is one of the most popular services that TCS provides for our clients. Clients with internal IT Staff can benefit from having a second set of eyes watching over their network. Clients who rely exclusively on a single source for their technology advice normally don’t consider how that individual’s natural bias may be impacting their technology infrastructure. That is why TCS uses a team approach to all of our dealings with clients “two heads are better than one” when it comes to planning and problem solving.
TCS offers a wide range of Strategic Consulting Services to the clients that we serve.
Types of Audits:
- Security Audit
- Risk Assessment Audit
- Compliance Audit
- Software Licensing Audit
- Hardware Audit
- IT Systems Audit
- Capacity Planning Audit
- General Network Audit
- Disaster Recovery Audit
- Policies and Procedures Audit
- High Availability Audit
- Internet Policies and Procedures Audit
An Audit involves taking a snapshot of your computer infrastructure at a point in time and then analyzing our findings and reporting back to you. This is much like what an accountant does when they present a Balance sheet as a financial snapshot of your current financial condition.
In the majority of situations we would advise our clients to begin with a General Network Audit and then if there are some obvious issues that come out as a result of that Audit we can chose to drill down directly in another area
Our General Network Audit includes:
- On-site walk through of building
- Interviewing a percentage of users about their IT experience and is it positive or negative
- Temporarily loading software that looks for and attempts to identify every device on your network
- Reviewing all servers on the network for industry best practice compliance
- Gathering information about desktops on the network and scanning for obvious problems
- Determining age and stability of infrastructure equipment
- Developing a basic Visio drawing of the network
- Providing the Client with recommendations on things that need urgent attention
Pricing out our Audits really depends on how deeply you want us to look at your situation. Our General Network Audit can be as inexpensive as $500 for a 5-10 user network or as much as $5000 for a large network with multi locations. Because of our focus on the Small and Medium sized business our typical audit is around $1000.
“Richard and I wanted to let you know how thankful we are to you and your staff for all you have done in getting us up and running in our new location. When we decided to expand our business into a second location, we had no idea that the network linking the two offices would prove to be so difficult to setup – at least until TCS came in. We were at the end of our rope when we called you, and thought we might have a mess that was to big for ANYONE to repair, but TCS accepted the challenge and had us working within a very short period of time. We especially appreciate that we have been informed from the beginning on what is being done, where the technician is in the process, and what to expect regarding downtime, etc. You have a wonderful staff: knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and professional. We are happy to recommend TCS to anyone who needs network administration help.”
