Responsible Equipment Disposal
-Go Green Recycle Those Old Computers!
Handy Capable recycles computers and provides a place for disabled and disadvantaged computer geeks to practice their skills. If the equipment you donate is viable, then HC will refurbish it and send it on to a new home. If the equipment is older than 5-6 years, then HC will disassemble the parts and sell them to recyclers who can capture the metals that exist inside of every computer and put those back into the production cycle for new machines.
Help Low-Income Families and Non-Profit Organizations
Handy Capable formats the hard drive in your old computer using a secure, low-level format tool to remove any data. They test and replace any components that are not functioning correctly and load a special non-profit/low-income version of Windows, along with word processing, spreadsheet, and educational software. These computers will then offered to the non-profit organization or a low-income family who otherwise might not be able to afford a computer.
Special Offer!
If you have computers that you would like to donate, and you are located in the Triad of N.C., TCS will arrange to pick up old equipment from your location and deliver it to Handy Capable Recycling Facility at no cost to you. It costs Handy Capable $50-$75 to refurbish each machine and get it ready for re-use. If you would like to make a 501c3 non-profit contribution to help with these costs, please make your check payable to Handy Capable Solutions. TCS will deliver it with your computers.
To arrange a pick-up, please email help@tcsusa.com with equipment quantities and preferred time for pick-up.
